We are internationals who care about the health and well-being of others. Our passion is in supporting our international peers in the Eindhoven area of the Netherlands.
We are building a community through personal experience, peer support, groups, mentoring, and guidance.
As adjustment and transition may affect internationals at various times and stages during their time in the Netherlands, our goal is to be their first line of support and encouragement.
Who are we?
Katja Alexandrova (Russia)
Erika Szilagyi (Hungary)
Jody Hennings (Texas)
I’m a Texan who has lived and worked in Eindhoven since April 2008, albeit a relatively ‘bad’ Texan as I’ve never owned a pair of cowboy boots, danced the two-step, and tragically don’t speak with a Southern twang. I moved with my American partner and chose to continue building my life here when we separated in 2010, completing the inburgering/integration exam in order to do so.
I’m interested in supporting IPSN because the international community is an important element in integrating and facing the challenges of adapting to a new country. I want to create opportunities for other internationals to develop themselves, establish supportive connections, and find contentment in their environment.
